Bursaries for Writers

A list of 50 UK-based literary awards has been published on the WritersServices website. It was produced by Pan Macmillan and is included in the 2003 edition of The Writer’s Handbook.

'Writers need all the financial help they can get. As nearly 90% of the visitors to the site come from outside the UK, I hope we can expand the list to include prizes and scholarships offered to writers in the English language worldwide', said Chas Jones. 'We are happy to act as a bulletin board for the tens of thousands of writers visiting the site each month' he added.

The list sits alongside the US and UK Literary Agents and Scouts lists, also from The Writer’s Handbook, which are published annually on the site.
